Blog Post Homework 2

A lesson I learned from How the Garcia Girls lost their accent, is a lesson about family. No matter what the girls went through or how bad it was, in the end, they were always backed up by their family and I loved that message. I know that sometimes I may fight with my family, but in the end I know that I do really love them and I would be so upset if anything happened to them. I also learned that no matter how hard some times are, a bond of a family will pull through. The Garcia girls went through a lot of tough times but in the end, they always had their family to back them up. I hope that my family is strong enough to endure tough times together and pull through as still a family. I know some families that do not even eat together or share each others lives but I do not want to be a family like that. I want to make sure that we will always stick together and go through tough times together as a family. In the future, I hope I learn to appreciate my family a bit more and really know how blessed I am to have a family that loves me through the good times and bad.

  2. I agree with a lot of the things you said. Family is an extremely important part of the story that exemplifies the meaning of a true family. No matter how hard times may be, family is always there to help and comfort. This is why this book was actually quite enjoyable to read because it reminded me a little of how important my family was to me. True families will never break apart because there is an unbreakable bond between each member of the family and even through tough situations these bonds will only grow stronger.
